Voices Speak
Third age people and people no longer working can still help. The truth is, we need people with experince, we might not always agree, but we do need them. My call to you is, tell the youth. You probally know some pretty usefull things about life, and therefore you probally have more knowledge on poverty and other social issues of this kind. If you share all this stuff to the youth, and if you do it in the right way, I'm sure that they will listen. If you do that, then you allready take a huge step towards improving the future, we all benefit from your experience.
Voices Speak is our very first project. You can get involved, but not exactlly in the way you would think about it. It is a project trying to raise awareness. Here's what you can do:
1. Reasearch
Reasearch all you can about poverty in your area, be very aware of it, and maybe even think about how it could be stopped or reduced.
2. Share it with others
Tell other people. do you want to keep all thoose facts for yourself? After some friends know, maybe take some free time and share handouts at the mall.
3. Take Action
Yes, I mean, you've just seen a starving girl on the street, go buy her a sandwhich, you have issues with your goverment, write them a letter, there are many options.
4. Wow, wait! You and what army?
Get more people, form a group. It can be something as simple as you and your peers deciding that you won't ignore the next begger, it can be a whole group, you decide.
Please note that you don't have to do all the steps, sticking to the first two is fine.
