14th March 2014

Hello everyone, here comes the update of what has happened and what our next steps taking action will be. So, we have involved various teachers in our project. The principal and the counselor know about our project and have had meetings with us to discuss our action steps, how we are doing so far and giving us tips and helping us with how to improve what we are doing. Our next step will be advertising and raising awareness. We have decided to hand out leaflets in the mall advertising this project, but before we do that, we will have to talk to the boss of the Baneasa mall and maybe also the Promenada mall to ask them if we would be allowed to hand out the leaflets. For this, we will be preparing a presentation and asking them for permission to present and to hand out the leaflets. We will also request a board in the atruium (the entrance hall at our school) and be giving talks in front of our class.

13.08.2014 Update on what we have done so far

We talked to a teacher that is in charge of Service Learning for High School and these are a few things that we have decided on during those lunch-time meetings.

1) We made our own student-led Service Learning group which will begin in the school year 2014/2015. There will be a teacher there as a supervisor and helper, of course, but we will set our own ideas into action and work independently.

2) We have found somebody whom we will help/support: This person is a priest who takes in kids to his home after they are done with school since most of them dont have a proper home to go to. He plays with the kids, feeds them and gives them school supplies. The reason we are helping this man is because we think it is important that the children have fun. The problem for the children is also that other people look down on them because they dont have as much money. We don't want them to have this feeling so that they are confident, since that is important in adult life.

The People Matter

Fine, now that you went over our list of terms witch some of you might know some of you might not, let's go on with a real article, and now I'm going to give you a challange. Imagine that you're walking the streets of the city where you where born. Maybe you currently live there, maybe you moved, maybe you know how it looks, maybe you just imagine how it looks. I want you to imagine that you are walking the streets as the king or queen of that city, as you can change anything that you want to change, you can make the city so much better.  I don't blame you if you don't live in

the city or country of your birth, and I don't blame you if you didn't

visit your natal  country for a while, it's ok, but does your country

look good without you? You can be the moon in a moonless night

in your city, you might just be another ray of the sun where you are

now, it is fine, one ray of moon does not mean much, or at least it

doesn't mean enough, you wouldn't be able to survive for long,

while as a ray of the sun in a different place you have a chance. I'm

here to encourage the young generation not to move from their

native country, or to choose wisely where they move. I repeat that I

have nothing against the people that moved allready, but let me tell you something. For a country to live a bad life it needs a workforce lower than the people born in that country, for a country to live an avarage life it needs a workforce equal to the people born in that country, for a country to live a rich life it needs a workforce bigger than then the people born there, but it doesn't need to many people or else it will become poor. There should always be a population balance, but you get what I'm saying, a country needs people form the outside so that thoose people will transport new ideas that will eventually get to that country. You can allready think of some examples, let's say the United States, Australia, etc. All the rich countries are or used to be migration centres. Most people that where born in poor places will want move to one of thoose huge migration centres. Ofcourse, there are other factors besides population, but population is one of the most important, I don't mean the quantity, I mean the quality. Poor countries are now divided between warms and dead people. There are the ones with no hope and the ones eating the hopes of the others. So it's normal that the people with an education want to move away. Here is another nice lesson, there is no total perfection, if somone is better than you with marketing, you want to learn from that person, poor countries need to get this modesty. Join with me, and I'll explain everything about migration, this vital exchange of people and ideas. Believe me, the quality and quantity of people is one of the vital factors for keeping the balance in life.

Fine, I hope I didn't make you bored to death by now. Let's move on with details about how the people afect the way in which their country lives. The truth is that people with quality education will eventually get a job or start a corporation, or maybe even become the future leaders of their country. The fact that you are doing something to benefit your country obviously improves somthing in it, and if everybody does that then just think of all the progress that could happen. There is also the version in witch you are infuencing your country in a negative way, but let's hope that it's not the case. The reason for educated people going away from the poor places is obvious, this is the only way in which they stand a chance at all, if two people stand up nothing will change, if we all stand up then maybe we can do something. The fact that you are an arhitect building new homes in your country is as being a political leader. You get my point, as long as it doesn't harm the community it is more than wolcome, it's a must. Just look at this two different castles. One of the castles is abandoned, it's a ruin, while

the other castle has been taken care of, it's shining

and it's appealing. Thoose castles are not at all one

single community, they are the whole world. If we
